A look back on this quarter (and some of winter)
There’s been a lot going on since the last edition of the Grad-to-Grad.
Here’s a look at some of the most notable:
-Several interesting events took place at the Women’s Center including:
“Words of Love or Lack Thereof…”: Grad Valentine’s Day Poetry Event, Grad
Creative Night where grads let their creative spirit flow, and
Speedfriending: A mixer between graduate and medical students. Check out
pictures at http://ucsdgrads.wikidot.com/gcc
-The organization Universities Allied for Essential Medicines held a panel
discussion during the National Day of Action on Neglected Diseases. For
more info see: http://www.essentialmedicine.org
-The roundtable discussion, “We’re Here, We’re Queer, We’re Your TA!” was
hosted at the LGBT Resource Center on campus.
-There was a Graduate Students of Color Mixer at the Cross-Cultural Center.
-The Grad Parents Network is going strong and organizing a picnic. Get

-GSA held elections for the 2007-2008 Exective Board. See the results at
http://gsa.ucsd.edu
-The Graduate Community Coordinator just set up a new blog to share info
about grad life across campus. Check it out at gcc.ucsd.edu. To send
information to the blog, email grad-community@ucsd.edu.
-And of course the UCSD Grad Wiki is up and running. Some of the newest
pages included: OGS Handbook, Free Wireless in San Diego County, Raza
